I have dreams about gods specially Vishnu and his avatara mostly Krishna, Narasimha.

I keep getting dreams of my guru Sri Raghavendra Tirtha of Mantralaya many times(if you dont know who he is, please look it up on the net). Recently got a dream where his small idol is lying face down on the ground. The next day saw a dream where I could see his big white idol ( the one that is at the entrance of Mantralaya Matha, the sitting pose). What does the lying face down idol dream mean?

In Sanatan Dharma, dreams hold a deep spiritual meaning, dreams are said to be the mirror of our consciousness, dreaming of divine entities or revered saints can signify a deep spiritual connection and/or communication, they tell us what we need, which can be analyzed and interpreted with the help of texts like Vedas, Upnishads, Puranas, and Smritis.
Brihadarnyaka Upnishad further explains the state of dreaming as,

            Verse 4.3.9

The text explains that a soul only has two abodes, this and the next world, the dream state is considered to be the junction of the two, and staying at the junction our soul analyzes both the worlds. Whatever costume he chooses for the next world, he sees both evil (suffering) and joy. When he dreams, he removes some of the impressions of the waking world and constructs a dream body, exhibiting his own luster and brilliance. In this moment, the man becomes the light.Whatever costume he chooses for the next world, he sees both evil (suffering) and joy. When he dreams, he takes away a little of (the impressions of) this all-encompassing world (the waking state), lays the body aside, and constructs (a dream body in its place); revealing his own luster by his own light and dreams hence in this state the man himself becomes the light.

Now that we have an understanding of the state of dream, we can further interpret the dream in question with the help of our scriptures.

Interpretation of the Dream with the Idol Face Down.
Indicating a Need for Humility and Surrender:

According to Bhagavad Gita Shri Krihsn instructs Arjun to fully surrender himself to him. This surrender (śharaṇam) is the core of our faith and devotion; to believe that our lord will always protect, guide and bless us. A face-down idol can symbolize prostration or humility, reminding you to deepen your belief in him, indicating that there is some sort of ego or worldly attachment that has been swaying your belief.
            सर्वधर्मान्परित्यज्य मामेकं शरणं व्रज |
            अहं त्वां सर्वपापेभ्यो मोक्षयिष्यामि मा शुच: ||
Bhagavad Gita: Chapter 18, Verse 66

            Indicating Obstacle on Karmic Cycle:
In Garuda Purana, idols of deities appearing in a disrupted form can reflect the chaos or disruption in the real world. It may indicate an obstacle in the present or near future that one will need to overcome.

The Idol in the Sitting Pose.
The sitting idol of Shri Raghavendra is also a significant symbol in Sanatan Dharma as its believed that the sitting posture of a saint signifies steadfastness, divine protection and guidance.
Padma Purana and Skanda Purana state that sages and saints even after leaving their physical bodies guide their devotees from the higher realm. The appearance of the idol can be interpreted as a message of reassurance that despite the challenges he will guide and protect you.
The white idol can symbolize purity and stability of the Guru’s grace or a call to come visit his Matha.

            Advice
Scriptures show that seeing spiritual figures and/or gurus is an auspicious sign as well as a reminder to remain vigilant in your practices.
