Fasting
Fasting is a moral and spiritual act.
Hindus will fast to: Increase God consciousness or become closer to God. In other hand Fasting reduces the acidic contents in the body, lowers cholesterol, our body pushes out toxic contents. Researchers have found that fasting reduces the chances of heart disease, cancer, improves the immune system and helps the body in fighting with many more diseases.
Now modern science has accepted the benefits of fasting.

Test Tube Baby ( 100 Kauravas )
Kauravas were born due to stem cell and test tube technologies and India also possessed knowledge about guided missiles thousands of years ago, claimed Andhra University vice chancellor G Nageshwar Rao at the Indian Science Congress .
Gandhari became pregnant naturally from her husband Dhrutarashtra. However she did not deliver a child even after two years passed. Therefore, in anger, Gandhari aborted her foetus. In fact it was not a foetus, not a developed child; but a mole, a mass of living cells having no shape like a human child. As soon as the sage Vyasa heard about her abortion, he came immediately, took the aborted cell mass in possession and divided that mole. Sage Vyasa dissected the mole carefully and found out normal living cells, which he kept separately in Ghruta Kumbha. Ghruta Kumbha mean an ordinary pot of clay, filled with Ghee. ‘Ghruta’ means a nutrient medium supplying life energy, which was kept in a special Kumbha, a highly sophisticated urn. There were 101 cells and those cells were grown separately in Ghruta Kumbhas or nutrient urns. In due course children were born, 100 Kaurawas and their 8 sister Dusshala.

Hanuman chalisa ( Distance between sun and earth )
When the western world was debating whether the earth is round or flat and whether the sun rotates around the earth, our sages were calculating and writing the distance between the sun and earth, that too very accurately. It’s given in Hanuman Chalisa.

Yuga-Sahasra-Yojana for Bhanu
leelyo tahi madhura phala janu

According to Bhagavad-gita, one day of Brahma is called kalpa and is equal to 1000 yugas and this is followed by a similar duration of nights.

1 yuga = 4,320,000 years = 12000 divine years

yuga-sahasra-yojana = 12000 x 1000 yojanas.

Distance between Sun and Earth = 12000 x 1000 yojanas = 96 million miles = 153.6 million kms

The average distance from Earth to the sun is about 93 million miles (150 million kilometers). Scientists also call this distance one astronomical unit (AU).

Tulasidasa mentioned the distance to this level of accuracy as early as in 16th century.
