        Amla Navmi

Amla Navami, also known as Akshaya Navami, is a festival celebrated on the ninth day of Shukla Paksha in the Kartik month. Tradition says that Lord Vishnu lives in the Amla tree from the ninth day of Shukla Paksha in the Kartik month to the full moon date. For this reason, people worship the Amla tree on Amla Navami, hoping that it will bring them health, happiness, peace, and unending happiness. Scriptures refer to the significance of Akshaya Navami as the significance of Akshaya Tritiya, or the Tritiya of the month of Vaishakh.

Amla Navami is also referred to as Jagadhatri Puja and Kushmanda Navami. The Vedas claim that the good deeds performed on Amla Navami day never stops. As a result, this day is also known as Akshaya Navami. Any auspicious deed performed on this day, such as giving, worshipping, distributing, devoted one’s self, etc., will bring in the benefits for many births. It is thought that this marked the beginning of the Dwapar Yuga, after which Lord Krishna moved to Mathura and abandoned his childhood activities. Since the amla tree is home to all the Gods and Goddesses and is a favourite fruit of Lord Vishnu, it is revered.

        Kushmand Navmi

From Navami to Kartik Shukla Paksha Purnima, Lord Lakshminarayan resides in Amla. On this day, one can increase their good fortune by marrying Amla and Peepal, and their good fortune will last for millions of births. The Dwapar era began on the day of Kartik Shukla Navami, according to Padmapuran. Lord Vishnu had slain the demon Kushmand on this particular day. This day is also known as Kushmand Navami as a result. Since the demon Kushmand gave birth to the kushmand (pumpkin) vine, giving a pumpkin on this day will yield an endless supply of fruits. People achieve the desired effects by secretly donating money while encasing gold, silver, etc. inside a pumpkin.Nectar drips from the Amla tree on the day of Akshaya Navami.
