Through the different Ages of Sanatan Dharm, many greats have stepped foot on earth and out
of them 7 people are considered to be immortal according to Sanatan Dharm, known as the
Chiranjeevi. These Chiranjeevi are people who cannot be killed and will keep on living till the
end of the world. The Chiranjeevi are still walking the planet and have knowledge of everything
that happened in history. These seven Chiranjeevi are as follows :-

        1. Mahabali

As the Asura king, he ruled with fairness and prosperity, earning the adoration of his
subjects. His devotion to Vishnu led to his downfall, as Vishnu incarnated as Vamana, a
dwarf Brahmin, to test his humility. Despite being deceived, Mahabali upheld his word
and offered his head for Vishnu’s foot. Impressed by his devotion, Vishnu granted
Mahabali the boon to visit his kingdom once a year. Celebrated as Onam, this annual
homecoming symbolizes Mahabali’s enduring legacy of righteousness and selflessness,
inspiring generations with his noble character.
He was given the boon to become a Chiranjeevi by Lord Vishnu and he will become the
king of Gods in the next Yuga.

roles in various events of the Mahabharata, offering counsel and participating in battles.

considered a Chiranjeevi because of a boon granted to him by Lord Shiva. According to
Hindu mythology, after completing his mission to rid the world of evil and restore dharma
(righteousness), Parashurama approached Lord Shiva for penance. Pleased with his
