        Moksh means liberation from the world and from rebirth. One can find moksh through many
        different ways. One of these ways is by doing penance at all four of the Char Dhams of India
        known as Badrinath, Jagannath Puri, Dwarkadhish and Rameshwaram.

        Char Dham are four Mandirs built in all four directions i.e. North, South, East and West. As
        stated above, it is considered that one who visits all four of these Dhams will get Moksh
        according to Sanatan Dharm.

        But what is the significance of these Char Dham and why are they so important and integral to
        Sanatan Dharm? Let us discuss each one of these in detail, starting off with the Dham of Satyug
        – Shri Badrinath.

        Situated in the Garhwal mountain range write on the banks of river Alaknanda the Badrinath
        Temple old great significance and Sanatan Dharma as it is not only one of the 108 a boards of
        Lord Vishnu but also considered as the place where Lord Vishnu give reason to Pandavas
        during their exile. Also considered as the place where Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati meditated
        for years. It is known as the Dham of Satyug as it was where Lord Vishnu meditated for a
        thousand years. Along with Badrinath Temple, Kedarnath is considered as a part of it under the
        char dhams as it is integral to Hindu Dharm.

        Rameshwaram – Dham Of Treta Yuga


        Situated in Tamilnadu, Rameshwaram is a municipality or more popularly a pilgrimage for the
        hindu dharm and has great significance. It is said that Lord Ram built a Shiv Temple here after
        killing his devotee Ravana to do penance and get his blessings. The temple is now known as
        Ramanathaswamy Temple and is one of the 12 Jyotrilingas. Talking about the architecture, it
        has one of the longest corridors of any Hindu temple and is five stories tall standing on 72 pillars
        built in the temple.

        Dwarkadhish – Dham Of Dwapar Yuga


        The place where Lord Krishna built his Kingdom and spent most of his life doing Leela,
        Dwarkadhish is one of the great Char Dhams of India, and also known as the Dham of Dwapar
        Yuga, which is also the timeline of Yogiraj Krishna. Dwarkadhish temple was built above
        Krishna’s residence known as Hari-Griha, and is also known as Trilok Sundar. The flag on top of
        the temple shows sun and moon, indicating that Lord Krishna will exist till the sun and the moon
        do.

        Jagannath Puri – The Dham of Kalyug


        Jagannath Puri, located in the eastern Indian state of Odisha, is renowned for its historic
        Jagannath Temple, dedicated to Lord Jagannath, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The temple
        complex, one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites for Hindus, attracts devotees from across the
        globe. It hosts the famous Rath Yatra, a grand chariot procession where deities are taken on
        elaborately decorated chariots through the streets. Puri’s beautiful beaches, such as the Golden
        Beach, add to its allure, making it a popular tourist destination. The city is also known for its
        vibrant culture, rich history, and delectable cuisine, including the famous Puri Mahaprasad.
        Visiting all four of the Char Dham is said to bring salvation or moksh to a person, freeing him/her
        from the cycle of rebirth. One must definitely visit these not only for finding moksh but also for
        the scenic beauty and also for the significance they hold.
