        ॐ भूर्भुवः स्व:

        तत्सवितुर्वरेण्यं भर्गो

        देवस्य धीमहि

        धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात् ॥

        Om Bhur Bhuva Svah.Tat Savitur Varenyam Bhargodevasya Dheemahi, Dhiyo yo nah prachodayat.

        The literal translation is:

        Om : The sacred syllable

        Bhur: Bhulok

        Bhuvah : Space/Antriksha

        Suvah:Svarga

        Tat: Parmatama

        Savitur: Ishvar

        Varenyam: Fit to be worshipped

        Bhargo: remover of sins and ignorance

        Devasya: Glory

        Dimahi:We meditate

        Dhiyo: Buddhi

        Yo: which

        Nah:our

        Prachodayat : enlighten/inspire

        Translation: “ Tuney humey utpann kiya,paalan kar rha h tu, tujhse hi paatey pran hum,dukhiyo ke kasht harta tu.

        Tera mahaan tej hai,chaya hua sabhi sthan,shrishti ki vastu -2 me tu ho rha h vidhyamaan.

        Tera hi karte dhyaan hum maangte teri daya.Ishwar humari buddhi ko tu shreshtha marg par chla.

        In first stanza we are saying O God you are the creator of this universe and thisife is a gift from you.You take away all the pain and sorrows of your pupil.

        In second stanza we are saying o Lord,you are so great,you are omnipresent in each and in  every particle on this planet.

        In third stanza we are saying that O God we are remembering you and want you to shower your blessings on us.Guide us to walk on the right path.

        Gayatri Mantra is the divine mantra of universe.It is regarded as jnani of Vedas.It is It is actually a name of most sacred Vedic hymn.It has 24 hymns which makes it most it most powerful  mantra in the universe. It is the only mantra which constitutes 24 syllables and is called “beej aksharas”.When we chant this mantra certain waves of energies are released which protects the devotees from all bad external influences.

        This Rigveda is dedicated to Godess Savitri.She is a wife of Lord Brahma. This is one of the most powerful mantras in the universe it pleases Lord Shiva.

        PURPOSE OF THIS MANTRA  :

        This mantra is chanted to achieve success and happiness in life.It helps in stabilising minds.

        WHO IS GODDESS GAYATRI:

        She is the mother of four vedas i.e Rigveda,Samveda,Yajurveda and Atharva Veda.She is also called Vedmata.Goddess Gayatri removes darkness and illuminates our minds.

        BENEFITS OF CHANTING GAYATRI MANTRA:

        1.It improves concentration and learning

        2.It removes toxins from our body.

        3.It improves breathing and functioning of nervous systems.

        4.It keeps your heart healthy and removes negativity.

        5.It calms the mind.

        6.It reduces stress and anxiety.

        According to Vedas time also has qualities. These qualities are divided into three categories i.e: Satva,rajas and tamas i.e purity, passion and inaction.Satva is considered to be the best time to chant Gayatri Mantra. It is recited between 4pm and 8pm.

        Gayatri Mantra was compiled in the praise of sun god Savitri.It was composed by sage Vishwamitra.This mantra has been explained in Upanishad as rituals and as a poem in Shrimad Bhagvad Gita. It was written in 2500 to 3500years back in Sanskrit.

        SCIENTIFIC INTERPRETATION:

        The earth,the planets and the galaxies are moving in a great velocity. The sound produced is ‘Om’.The God who manifests himself in the form of light of suns.Gayatri Mantra produces 110,000 sound waves per second. In Gayatri mantra there is a combination of sound waves,which has a particularl frequency.These waves are capable of producing specific waves which improves the overall aura of the person who comes in contact.

        Hence,this mantra should be chanted by everyone not only during auspicious occasions but also on a daily basis for our wellbeing and for others around us.
