        The  role of mantras in healing practices in sanatan dharma

        Healing is the word that mean to make it whole and complete .  healing  therapy help you release mental ,  emotional stress. Healing is more concerned with the mental state , emotinal state and will power than physical conditions and stress though it have effects on the physical conditions through influencing and healing the person mentally.

        Sanatan dharma has many aspects that help in immensely in healing and play vital role in healing . Meditation  and mindfulness practices are originated from the india thousand years again and we can find meditation records in the vedantisim . philosophy of yoga ,meditation and soulful living is mentioned in  Bhagavad Gita . meditation called as Dhyana in the hinduism is the state of one pointedness [एकान्तता] of mind and observing the inward and outward movement of the thoughts with silence [मौनं], stability [स्थैर्य] and detachment [(वैराग्य].

        Mantras are the sacred sounds that help in healing and relieve stressfull thoughts. Mantras are used in spiritual and ritual practices in hinduism and have influence over mind and body. Vibrations of mantras penetrate the unconscious depths of mind and help in healing.

        Chanting mantra help in stimulating endocrine system and have very important role in Garbhasanskara  in pregnancy, in improving focus, venting emotion. Mantras vibration create self awareness and sense of mindfulness. many Neuroscients have given the proofs and evidence of the benefits of mantras on mind and body healing.

        Mantras have vibrational effects on the body and thus there are strict rules that are stated in vedas and sacred books that needs to be followed before chanting and practising the mantras . SHRI GURUCHARITRA [श्री गुरुचरित्र ] is the book based based on life of shri narsimha saraswati. It is strictly said that women should not read this book .this has some mantras that produce vibration and energy that has negative effects on women reproductive organs .

          Example of mantras that have benefits in daily life 

        Maha Mrutunjay Mantra help in dealing anxiety and depression

        त्र्यम्बकं यजामहे

        सुगन्धिं पुष्टिवर्धनम् ।

        उर्वारुकमिव बन्धनान्

        मृत्योर्मुक्षीय मामृतात् ॥

        Gayatri Mantra gives clarity in life and removes all negativity around

        ॐ भूर् भुवः स्वः।

        तत् सवितुर्वरेण्यं।

        भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि।

        धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात् ॥

         

        SIGNIFICANCE OF OM CHANTING IN HEALING

        Om means the power and the supreme . though there is nothing in the world om still exist . there are studies of om vibrations and sounds through galaxy . om is the first syllable of all the mantras. Om or Aum is made of three letters which represents Brahma , Vishnu and Mahadev.

        First letter A comes from mouth and pronounciation emphasis on navel which represents Lord Brahma that is god of creation .

        Second letter U comes from the heart and represent living . it is related to the  Lord vishnu who is sustainer of life

        Third letter M comes out of throat and produces vibrations in throat . represents Lord Shiva who represent end of life.

         

        Benefits of OM are seen on digestive system , treating insomnia, strengthening heart and lungs , smoothens blood circulations.
