Lord Hanuman is often worshipped to get rid of evil spirits, negative energies, and people who have wrong or negative vibes.
The eight powers which lord Hanuman are :
Anima: the power to have a tiny form
Mahima: the power to have a huge form
Garima: the ability to make the body heavy
Laghima: the ability to make the body very light
Prapti: the power to go to places
Prakamya: the power to fulfill desires
Isitva: the power to create and destroy
Vasitva: the power of subjugation (conquest)
WHO IS LORD HANUMAN
Lord Hanuman is son of mata Anjani and King Kesari .Lord Hanuman was a form of special monkey born with powers received from Pavandev, lord Brahma and lord Indra.
Childhood of lord Hanuman
During his childhood days, once lord Hanuman was feeling very hungry. Through his palace windows, he saw the rising red-colored sun. He imagined it for ripe fruit, and he jumped to eat it. Lord Indra came for rescue. He struck Hanuman with his thunderbolt, which hit Hanuman’s jaw. He fell onto the earth and broke his jaw, dead. Hanuman’s father, Vayu (air) got upset. He withdrew all the air on Earth. It created immense suffering for all living beings. This made lord Shiva interfere and bring Hanuman back to life. It encouraged Vayu to return to the living beings. Lord Indra realized his mistake and granted Hanuman a wish that his body would be strong like Indra’s thunderbolt and that his thunderbolt could also not harm him. Agni God blessed him: fire won’t harm him; God Varuna blessed him : water won’t harm him; God Vayu blessedhim: he will be as fast as the wind. Brahma blessed him a wish. That he can go to any place without hindrance. These wishes made Hanuman immortal and unique with powers and strength.
Lord Hanuman’s wife and kids
Lord Hanuman’s wife was Suvarchala Devi, Sun god’s daughter. It is also believed that Lord Hanuman and his wife voluntarily decided to be childless. Makardhwaja (or Magardhwaja) is the son of lord Hanuman and was born out of his sweat.
When Hanuman, after burning down Lanka, went to take a dip in the waters of the sea then a drop of his sweat fell into the mouth of a mighty Makara. Hence, Makardhwaja was born.
HOW LORD HANUMAN MET LORD RAM AND MATA SITA
Lord Ram was sent to 14 years of vanvas with Mata Sita and brother Lakshman. During that time, Ravana abducted Mata Sita in disguise as a saint begging for alms. When lord Rama and Lakshmana got to know about this, they went to search her.
Rama and Lakshmana reached Kishkindha looking for Mata Sita. The then new king and Rama’s newfound ally, Sugriva, agreed to send his troupe in all four directions to search for Mata Sita. Sugriva sent Hanuman with some vanarsena and the great bear Jambavan. They travelled all the way to the southernmost tip of India, the island of Sri Lanka. They wished to expand the island, but none could swim or jump. However, Jambavan knew that Hanuman was able to do so. He lifts his curse.
Kishkindha kand
Hanuman now remembered all of his divine powers. On reaching Lanka, he discovered the city was populated by the Lanka king Ravana and his demon followers. He squeezes himself to the size of an ant and enters into the city. After searching, he discovered that Mata Sita was kept inside a grove. She was being guarded by demon warriors. When they all slept late that night, he met with Sita and discussed how he found her. She narrates how Ravana kidnapped her and forced her to marry him soon. Lord Hanuman offered to rescue her, but Sita refused. She said she wanted lord Ram to come and take her along.
Lord Hanuman went to destroy the grove, which led to his capture by Ravana. Ravana ordered to light Hanuman’s tail on fire. But, each time they put fuel on his tail to burn, he grows his tail longer. It made Ravana angry, and he ordered, “ set the tail on fire.” Upon lighting, Hanuman ji shrinks his tail back and frees himself from his captivity with his strength. He jumps out a window and puts the entire city ablaze. Seeing this, Hanuman leaves for India.
Upon returning, he tells his story, and they rush back to Kishkindha, where Rama had been waiting all along for news. When he gets to know that Sita is safe and is awaiting him, Rama gathers Sugriva’s army and proceeds for Lanka.
How Lord Hanuman Became Immortal
On the battlefield, Rama reveals his identity as the incarnation of the God Vishnu and kills Ravana. On returning to Ayodhya, lord Ram was crowned as king. Rama gave Hanuman a gift for helping him in battle, which he threw away. The court officials got angry by this act. Hanuman replied that rather than a gift, he would always like to remain in his heart. Rama blessed him with infinite living, but Hanuman refused this. He asked only to worship lord Rama’s feet. Lord Rama still blessed him with immortality. Lord Hanuman will live even after the destruction of this universe.
