The lotus flower is highly significant in Hinduism, symbolizing purity, beauty, and spiritual enlightenment. This is why the deity’s feet are called lotus feet.

The lotus flower, which can emerge from murky waters and continue to bloom, symbolizes the concept that the deity’s feet, sometimes known as “Lotus Feet,” are untouched by the impurities of the  world.

Reasons the lotus feet are important in Hindu devotion

        2) It is important for connection to the divine One can establish a connection to the holy realm by offering devotion to the lotus feet

Devotion to the lotus feet, which can also be a form of yoga that can aid in achieving a spiritual connection with the divine as well as spiritual awakening also  frequently described as devotion to the light and music.

        3) It is important as a form of purification According to Hindu tradition, a spiritual person can be freed from the negative karma consequences that prevent them from understanding greater truths by touching the feet of a deity.

Touching the lotus feet is said to cleanse a spiritual person of all impurities from the outside world because they are seen to be pure.

        4) It is important for liberation for moksha (cycle of birth and death)
The term “sharangati” refers to the idea of falling at the lotus feet of a spiritual teacher or the lord in order to achieve moksha and spiritual awakening of the soul.

Conclusively, the Lotus Feet holds immense significance in Hindu devotion, acting as a means of liberation, purification, and divine protection for those who worship it.
